Head out to work out

Working out outdoors is a fantastic way to keep fit while enjoying nature. Get set to take your gym sessions outdoors as five new exercise areas are almost here.

  • Opposite Al Reem 2
  • Between Mirador & Savannah
  • Alvorada open park
  • Opposite Aseel
  • The Oasis

The area is shaded under a robust canopy and you will find something for every fitness requirement including runners, ski runners, shoulder pull, and stationary bicycles.

Few tips to remember:

  • Do warm-ups first. It increases blood flow and temperature in the muscles to help decrease the risk of injuries.
  • No matter what the weather, hydrate!
  • Bananas are ideal for giving your muscles a boost before you begin your session. Have one or two around ten minutes before your session.
  • Don’t forget to keep masks on except during strenuous exercise – and remember, community gym rules apply.

New jogging track

It’s finally here – your community’s dedicated jogging track! The track runs through Springs 2, Meadows 5 & 6 and provides ample views of lush vistas.

The polyurethane coated track is designed to be comfortable to run on without sacrificing the speed. Get in your day’s calorie burn or venture on a leisurely stroll on this one-kilometer track. Meanwhile, more serious athletes can track their progress with the distance markers to record laps. Moreover, solar-powered LED bollards create a path of brilliance and safety after sundown.

Please remember no pets allowed.

Tips for a safe jog

Land on your forefoot instead of heels. It reduces the impact on joints and bones.

Take short effective strides. It reduces the movement within any joint also contributing to a longer, healthier life for the joints.

Green views this way

To understand the performance, health, and needs of the community landscape we decided to undertake extensive analysis. This was done in order to upgrade the streetscape with the implementation of the best horticultural practices to ensure proper growth and development of newly planted trees. As a result of this study, a total of 1569 tree pits were modified and upgraded as phase 1 across Springs 1-6.

  • Chinese Violets across the back drive of Springs 11 to 15 as an attractive groundcover.
  • Neem and Bougainvillea Pink Pixie across Springs 2, 4, 6.
  • Pongamia Glabra and Arabian Lilac across Springs 1, 3, 5.

New chess park in the block

It’s the perfect time for the outdoors with cool weather and warm sunshine – what better time for a stimulating game of chess! Your community just got its very own chess park situated beside the tennis court at Street 2A.

Here’s why we recommend you drop by:

  • Chess involves an intellectual challenge that’s good for the health of your mind.
  • Learning to anticipate your opponent’s next move, you develop the skill to understand their perspective.
  • It improves concentration, problem-solving, critical, original and creative thinking – and even mathematical abilities.
  • It’s also a great way to meet your neighbours, make new friendships and renew old ones.

So, look no further for a free, fun-filled and mind-driven game. Practice your moves and find a partner – the game is yours to claim.
