Recognising our frontline workers

September 2020

Your community is filled with brave men and women, working tirelessly to ensure that it’s always safe for all the families living here. The selfless work of these housekeepers, security guards, technicians, and others didn’t go unnoticed, as Geoffrey Munganga (housekeeping leader) and Ganghadar Methri (housekeeping assistant) received letters of appreciation from our chairman, Mr. Mohamed Alabbar.

“It is an honor to receive this recognition from the management,” said a beaming Geoffrey.  “I am happy that the residents and homeowners appreciate our efforts during these challenging times!”

If you’re enthusiastic about recycling and have more to give than you can fit in your villa’s recycling bin, you’ll be delighted to hear that your community’s very first recycling station has been installed!

  • You can dump paper, cardboard boxes and containers in the bin.
  • Ensure that you don’t drop paper that has been stained or soiled.

The recycling station is located next to the Mira prayer hall.

Fountains that dance and dazzle

Brace yourselves for a spectacular visual treat – remember the fountains at the entrance to the Marina Walk, right beside Dubai Marina Towers? They’ve been upgraded to deliver mind-blowing orchestrated performances!

  • Three speakers positioned radially around the fountains pump out a combined output of over 500 watts.
  • More than 50 coloured LEDs bathe each plume of water in rich colours that flash in harmony with the music.
  • A smart control unit uses advanced algorithms to analyse the music’s waveform, synchronising the firing of the water pumps and flashing of the lights.

Shows will take place every 20 minutes from 9 AM to 11 PM, and 6 PM to 10 PM.

Bad news for mosquitoes

19 July 2020

We’ve installed five futuristic mosquito traps around the community lake.

The machines emit a concoction of human scents and carbon dioxide that skeeters in a 20-metre radius find irresistible.

Once they’re close enough the large fan sucks them into a holding chamber. There’s no getting out.

The tanks are powered by solar panels that keep the contraptions active all day and night.
