Cricket fever at DHE!

29.07.2021. A day to remember. Marking the kickoff of the Emaar Premiere League!
A wholesome indoor cricket tournament for the young and older residents of DHE, the event lasted ten power-packed days. The ICC Academy hosted the event at their indoor play area and witnessed a match that proved as thrilling as promised.

The tournament comprised five teams – Green Titans, DHE Challengers, DHE Warriors, DHE Knights and DHE Super Kings.
The teams included children as young as seven years and saw an amazing response in what was the first ever community sports tournament.
The seven-match series took place with four league matches, two semi-finals and a final.
DHE Challengers took the champion trophy with Greens Titans, trailing as runners-up.
Communal spirit soars during Ramadan

The month of Ramadan brings out the best in community spirit and this year it reached an all-time high. In the true spirit of giving back, the holy month was marked by honouring the tireless efforts of our service providers.
Over 180,000 Iftar meal packets were distributed to the community’s service providers including, lifeguards, housekeeping staff, security guards and gardeners. The meal distribution was carried out across 12 main community locations and service provider campsites, while ensuring safety measures were always adhered to.
A time for giving, it truly was!

It’s official! Contractor permits are now completely digitized for your convenience. Simply because digitization eliminates manual procedures at security offices and replaces them with efficient and fast processes using technology.
Your appointed contractors can register and apply for community entry permits online at ecmpermits.ae, where they will find useful video guides in English, Arabic, Hindi, and Bangla. Three types of permits are available to contractors, depending on the type and duration of the work:
• Short-term permits
• Long-term permits
• Access permits for home modification works
Note: Since 01 July 2021, only contractors with a digital permit are allowed entry into the community.

Bad news for mosquitoes

We’ve installed five futuristic mosquito traps around the community lake.
The machines emit a concoction of human scents and carbon dioxide that skeeters in a 20-metre radius find irresistible.
Once they’re close enough the large fan sucks them into a holding chamber. There’s no getting out.
The tanks are powered by solar panels that keep the contraptions active all day and night.
It lights up automatically at night, so great for lighting purposes too.
The grass is always greener here

Synthetic grass is sprouting up (pun intended) everywhere and we’ve laid them at Al Reem 2 and 4, across lawns at five swimming pools and parks. Here are a few reasons why we are trying it:
It is hypoallergenic – even those who suffer from hay fever can enjoy grass.
Minimal maintenance is required for the turf to stay evergreen. With low maintenance comes savings.
They are durable – artificial grass is said to have a lifespan of 7-15 years.
Lawnmowers can be bad for the environment owing to air pollution. Artificial grass avoids this.
They are pet-friendly too. It can’t be dug up and ruined so it will stay elegant even with pets. It is unaffected by pet urine and is easy to clean.
They are flexible, not only are they perfect for gardens and lawns, they can be used in balconies,
