Lakes and walking trails

Emirates Living is home to 70 lakes spread over 14.2 million square feet, with over 90 floating fountains adding to their aesthetic appeal. Featuring pathways along their banks, LED bollards and benches at regular intrevals, the lakes offer residents a tranquil setting for strolls at any time of the day.

The lakes harbour a thriving ecosystem with a variety of fish, which help control pest populations too. Additionally they serve a functional purpose too – being a closed system, the lakes are designed to receive storm-water inflows during the rainy season and therefore prevent flooding within the community.

The community also features miles and miles of walking trails that meander throughout Emirates Living, taking residents through their own neighbourhoods and offering the chance to explore others too. Surrounded by lush landscaping on all sides, the walking trails also sport benches installed at intervals, allowing residents to sit back and take in the natural beauty.

Retail centres

The Lakes Club

A leisure destination for The Lakes community, The Lakes Club offers a variety of membership packages, with facilities such as a gym, a huge adults’ swimming pool, and children’s paddling pool along with tennis courts.

There is also a fully licensed family restaurant open all day for everything from breakfast and light bites to dinner in addition to a supermarket to pick up some essentials. The Lakes Club is home to:

The Springs Souk

With 23,000 square metres of retail space, the Springs Souk is the largest retail centre in Emirates Living. This new shopping and leisure destination comprises around 100 shops and restaurants split across two levels, making it the ideal place for community residents to carry out their essential shopping or enjoy a multi-course meal.

The mall is also home to Reel’s multiplex cinema and Dig It, the popular new kids’ entertainment avenue.

The Springs Souk is accessible by car or bicycle, with over 600 automobile parking slots as well as bike stands that can accommodate nearly 100 cycles. Some of the popular stores at the mall include Carrefour Market, Marks & Spencer, Aldo, Starbucks, Warehouse Gym and Rivoli.

The Meadows Souk

One of the main hubs of Emirates Living, The Meadows Souk is situated at the intersection of Al Sohool Street and Al Asayel Street.

The retail centre has a wealth of dining options as well as a large supermarket and a choice of beauty salons. In addition, there is a jewellers, a pet shop, an outlet of a popular gym chain as well as a variety of children’s shops.

It is also the site of one of the three Emirates Living mosques, Al Samad Mosque. The outlet has a large outdoor parking area and is easily accessible from all parts of Emirates Living.

The Meadows Village

The Meadows Village is a newly renovated retail center and lifestyle destination for residents and visitors of the Emirates Living community.

Featuring a number of outlets including a Waitrose supermarket, The Clinic by Medcare, Fitness First, as well as beauty salons, optics, dry cleaners, a pet shop, children’s shops and lakeside restaurants, The Meadows Village offers a host of shopping and dining options.

The retail centre has a large outdoor parking area and is located next to Emirates International School, for easy access from all corners of Emirates Living.

Recycling stations

Emaar encourages sustainability in all of its business practices, and we urge residents to do their bit for the environment too. In order to make this easier, recycling stations are located at The Meadows Souk and The Lakes Club.

As part of a sustainability initiative, a recycling programme is also present in your community. All homes get an outdoor recycling bin at no additional cost.

Separately, a smaller bin is also provided to residents to be kept indoors, preferably under the kitchen sink to collect all recyclable waste. Once full, it can be emptied into the bigger recycling bin outside.

Address Montgomerie

Address Montgomerie boasts a 7,396-yard championship golf course designed by eight-time European Order of Merit winner and Ryder Cup star Colin Montgomerie, in association with Desmond Muirhead. Opened in October 2002, the links-style course is consistently ranked as one of the top two courses in the Middle East.

The Academy offers a floodlit, practice facility, featuring a 662 yard nine-hole par-three course, a 24-acre practice range, multiple short game areas and practice bunkers. Indoors, one’s game can be analysed in the swing studio utilising V1 video swing analysis. Additionally, the instructional team is available for private lessons.

Mosques

Emirates Living is home to three large mosques, strategically located throughout the community for easy access by worshippers at all corners of the neighbourhood.

The mosques are in close proximity to The Springs, The Lakes, The Meadows and Emirates Hills; and between them, can accommodate up to 5,000 worshippers at a time:
1. Al Samad mosque next to The Meadows Souk
2. Al Waheed Mosque next to The Springs Souk
3. Al Wahab Mosque next to Emirates International School

Mediclinic

Located next to the ENOC petrol station and opposite Emirates International School on Meadows Drive, Mediclinic has a diagnostic imaging centre on-site, X-ray technology and a fully equipped laboratory as well as the ability to offer a vast range of specialist services.

ENOC petrol station

The ENOC petrol station is located on Meadows Drive, opposite Emirates International School and is an entity wholly owned by the Government of Dubai.

As well as offering petrol to its customers and the regular services of a garage forecourt, the complex in The Meadows has a large retail side too. Auto Pro is available for all sorts of servicing and preventative maintenance requirements including a vehicle valeting service; whilst the Zoom shop sells drinks and snacks and has a café section.

In addition, dotted around the complex are a variety of restaurants, such as Texas Chicken, Krispy Kreme, Broccoli Pizza, Aster Pharmacy, Wendy’s, Puranmal, The Monk and Pizza Hut.

Dog Parks

Emirates Living features three fenced dog parks. The dog parks boast a number of play equipment designed to keep canines of all sizes entertained for hours on end. The parks also contain benches and shaded areas to keep residents and handlers comfortable.

The three dog parks can be found at the below locations –
1. Behind Springs 8
2. Between Meadows 1 and Meadows 2
3. Next to Emirates International School
