The spirit of Ramadan unites Emaar communities

09 June 2019

It’s because of them that our landscaping is perennially green, the streets are forever clean and the community is always safe. And what better time to appreciate their efforts than the season of giving? The Holy Month of Ramadan brought individuals from all echelons of the community closer, dissolving barriers as residents and their families embraced the occasion by showing their gratitude to the community’s service providers.

The ‘Serve our Service Providers’ events in Emirates Living and Arabian Ranches saw families and even children from the community’s schools volunteer in droves. Residents packed bags filled with bread, fruits, juices, laban, and even homemade snacks, that were handed out to the community’s workers.

The smiling volunteers even stepped behind food counters to serve meals for the people who help keep the neighbourhood bright and beautiful – a gesture that touched the hearts of many.

Across all Emaar communities, mosques served free daily Iftar meals. Gardeners, cleaners, MEP and security staff sat down with residents and their families to break their fast and share a meal together. Beit Al Khair boxes located outside community mosques were filled with clothes, while staff from Emaar Community Management offices donated boxes of food for the less fortunate. The streets glowed with decorative lighting, celebrating the sense of brotherhood and generosity of spirit that permeated all corners of the community.

What better time than the Holy Month to appreciate efforts of our service providers? The community mosque was one such venue where residents and community staff broke their fast together.

The palm trees lining the Meadows Drive were given a touch of white and gold to brighten up those night drives.

04 April 2019

It’s one of the most commonly used roads in the community, and is frequented by almost all residents at least once a day – so we decided to do something to make your ride along Meadows Drive a little more special. Over 2.5 kilometres of white and gold LED lighting was wrapped around more than 160 trees, giving the street a festive ambiance throughout the year!

Polo Homes resident wins Best Garden in Garden Challenge

Community Garden Challenge winners announced!

The Community Garden Challenge was a neighbourhood sensation, with over 150 green-thumbed residents from our villa communities flooding us with picturesque entries. Our judges were left spellbound by the varieties of flowering shrubs and trees that families in the community had passionately cultivated – in numerous instances, even children had pulled on their gardening gloves and played an active role in tending to the gardens!

Rahim Sajan won the grand prize of AED 20,000 for his enchanting garden. Featuring palm trees around the pool area, an edible garden with plenty of fruits and veggies, creepers twisting their way up the walls of the home and even hardscaping elements disguised to fit the theme, Rahim’s garden kept throwing up new surprises with each viewing.

Winners and runners-up were selected in four categories – Best Landscaped Garden, Best Edible Garden, Best Creative Garden and Best Small Garden. The grand prize of AED 20,000 was reserved for an entry that successfully imbibed elements from each category for the perfect portrayal of a multifaceted garden that’s beautiful, as well as functional.

Arabian Ranches’s modular petrol station opens!

Dubai’s first modular petrol station has now opened at Arabian Ranches. With a capacity of over 30,000 litres, the station can fill over 400 cars a day and was inaugurated by Mr. Zaid Alqufaidi, managing director of Enoc Retail and Mr. Ahmad Thani Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties. Alqufaidi also reiterated his plan to set up more such modular stations, “specifically targeting residential communities, like Arabian Ranches.”

The station features a state-of-the-art vapour recovery system that enables over 70% of the fumes emitted by the nozzle to be recovered as fuel and offers multiple payment options including mobile payment and RFID technology. The pump also features solar panels for a more sustainable design.

With the nearest petrol station almost 15-20 minutes away from the community by car, the new facility will provide residents with unprecedented convenience when it comes to refueling their vehicles.
