Communal spirit soars

The month of Ramadan brings out the best in community spirit and this year it reached an all-time high. In the true spirit of giving back, the holy month was marked by honoring the tireless efforts of our service providers.

Over 180,000 Iftar meal packets were distributed to the community’s service providers including, lifeguards, housekeeping staff, security guards and gardeners. The meal distribution was carried out across 12 main community locations and service provider campsites, while ensuring safety measures were always adhered to.

A time for giving, it truly was!

Earth Hour 2021

27 March 2021

On March 27, the community came together bringing people from all over the world who stood in unity for our planet.  Earth hour was observed on this day, across Dubai Marina, by switching off all non-essential lights for one hour.

Emaar encouraged all residents to do their part in conserving energy and aiding the global effort in fighting climate change.

Residents could support the #Connect2Earth movement by posting visuals and sharing experiences on Emaar’s social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Earth Hour is World Wildlife Fund’s (WWF) landmark movement that unites people to show their commitment to the planet.

Emirates Hills resident bags Best Garden

The Community Garden Challenge 2020 was a neighbourhood sensation, with over 160 green-thumbed residents from our villa communities in Arabian Ranches I, II, Reem and Emirates Living flooding us with picturesque entries. Our judges were left spellbound by the varieties of flowering shrubs and trees that families in the community had passionately cultivated – in numerous instances, even children had pulled on their gardening gloves and played an active role in tending to the gardens!

Dr Minal Patwardhane won the grand prize of AED 25,000 for her spellbinding garden. Featuring medicinal herbs, edible plants and flowers of all sizes and colours, Dr Minal’s herb, fruit and flower garden won points for being sustainable, creative, functional and for her personal commitment and involvement in creating her green space.

Fifteen titles and promising gardens were awarded prizes for their meticulous effort and passion.
