Digital contractor permits

12 July 2021

It’s official! Contractor permits are now completely digitized for your convenience. Simply because digitization eliminates manual procedures at security offices and replaces them with efficient and fast processes using technology.

Your appointed contractors can register and apply for community entry permits online at ecmpermits.ae, where they will find useful video guides in English, Arabic, Hindi, and Bangla. Three types of permits are available to contractors,
depending on the type and duration of the work:

• Short-term permits

• Long-term permits

• Access permits for home modification works

Note: Since 01 July 2021, only contractors with a digital permit are allowed entry into the community.

Pool chair-lift

25 March 2021

It’s your community’s favourite amenity, and nobody living here should be deprived of having a great time at the swimming pool. So in addition to Saheel 1, we’ve installed a new chair-lift at the pool in Palmera 3 for all our residents-of-determination!

  • The chair is powered by an electric- hydraulic system that can lift up to 130 kg.
  • The safety mechanism ensures that anyone sitting isn’t fully submerged and can be operated by controls behind the main shaft or by the remote.
  • The motor can pivot 360 degrees for easy mounting and dismounting.

You’ll find detailed instructions near the control box – if you need a hand, your lifeguard will be happy to help.

So head over to your pool, nothing’s stopping you now!

Noon collect

25 March 2021

New lockers for your delivered goods.

No need to ask neighbours to collect your order again – ‘noon collect’ is now in your community!

Here’s how it works:

• When placing your order, choose the ‘add a new address’ option while check out.

• You’ll see a map of all nearby noon lockers – just pick the one in your community (it’s located along the entrance of your football ground).

• When your order is in the locker, you’ll get an SMS with a pick-up code.

• Head for the locker, enter the code and get your goods!

P.S. The lockers are open 24/7 – but remember to pick up your order in five days or they get sent back to noon (and you get a full refund).

Tree lights

23 March 2021

No space for darkness here!

We’ve brightened up your community with a host of new lighting improvements!

The kids’ play areas at Al Reem now feature pole-mounted focus lights. They’re LED powered and we’ll be fixing these lights at more play areas in the coming months, so stay tuned.

Just like the ring-lights on the palms near the Palmera roundabout, we fitted new lights on the palms from the community’s main entrance, all the way up to Al Rahman Mosque! Each of the ring-lights feature four sets of bidirectional LEDs that bathe the entire tree in a warm glow.

Fred, the falcon!

23 March 2021

Party’s over, birdies!

Pigeons/crows in the community are not going to be thrilled about the new, no-nonsense addition to Arabian Ranches housekeeping team, Fred, the falcon! The trained national bird has been hired to drive away pigeons/crows ganging up on the community’s balconies and roofs. And, he does it without harming any of them.

Fred’s modus operandi:

  • He first tries to scare away the pigeons, which is usually successful as most birds see falcons as their natural predator.
  • If a few of the braver pigeons decide to remain stubborn, Fred homes in on the and grabs them.
  • Well-trained to do them no harm, he then simply delivers the hapless pigeon back to the handler, who puts it in a cage.
