2020 Home Decoration Contest

01 January 2021

The 2020 Home Decoration Contest was a grand success, as dozens of homes throughout the neighbourhood put on a dazzling show with colourful lights, Christmas trees, snowmen, and even projected displays.

Our judges were captivated by the gorgeous sights, as residents showcased their own unique creative touches – there were signboards for Santa, pails of water, and giant stars in the garden trees.

After pondering over the entries at great length, Eldhose Babu from Mirador La Coleccion was selected as the winner.

Brightly lit driveways

01 December 2020

Brace yourself for spectacular drives through columns of ‘enlightened’ palm trees, every time you enter your community!

  • 220 palm trees have been fitted with metallic ring-lights.
  • They’re fixed mid-way up the tree, with lights shining up and down the bark.
  • The fixtures comprise over 800 LEDs – they’re energy efficient too, rated at just 4W each.
  • Despite the very low wattage, the projector bulbs maximise internal reflections to focus long, powerful beams.

You’ll find the new lights along the driveway after the community’s main gatehouse. Stopping to snap pictures? Share them and tag your community!

Pest control extended

17 November 2020

Pest control activities in your community will be extended until April 2021, since it happens to be their preferred breeding season.

Drain systems, bushes, lawns, water bodies and all other potential breeding hotspots will be sprayed with Dubai Municipality-approved insecticide two to three times every week.

Pest control is a joint responsibility, here are some tips to stop them breeding inside your boundary walls.

  • With the rainy season looming, make sure that you don’t leave empty containers or bowls outside.
  • Discard of gardening and landscaping waste promptly from your yard.
  • Consider installing mosquito traps around your home.

Underground pumping station

17 November 2020

Your community’s brand new pumping station is on the way, and will be dedicated to keeping the roads throughout Arabian Ranches dry all through the year!

  • The pumping station, built completely underground, will help draw water out of low-lying roads during heavy rainfall.
  • The station is connected to a network of sub-surface pipes have been installed beneath the community’s major roads.
  • Integrated to the drainage system, the pipes channel water away from the roads and into the lakes.

Tools you can borrow

20 September 2020

A handy toolbox is now available on a to-borrow basis at your community’s concierge. The kit comprises a hammer, three screwdrivers, a set of four hexkeys, spanner, plier, measuring tape, box-cutter and electric tape.

To borrow the toolbox, simply reach out to your community’s security or concierge to check its availability, head over and register your details before picking it up.

Aim to return the toolbox in good condition, within a day to make sure all residents have easy access to it. Don’t forget to sanitise the tools after you’re done with the toolbox.
